57th Annual Loyalty Day Celebration
Initiated in 1950 by the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Loyalty Day is a National Salute to Patriotism. Long Beach boasts the longest consecutively running Loyalty Celebration in the nation, the big parade (with more than 100 entries) is on Sunday the 4th.

This is your chance to be a pedestrian on the amazing 4.1-mile-long Astoria-Megler Bridge, which spans the Columbia River near its mouth. Participants are shuttled from the Port of Astoria to the Washington side of the river and runners and walkers return across the bridge to the finish line.
